However, female condoms generally are not quite as effective as properly used male condoms in preventing pregnancy. A female condom is a polyurethane sheath with a flexible ring on either end. One end is closed and inserted into the vagina, while the other end is open and the ring sits outside of the opening of the vagina.

Female condoms aren't perfect. No form of contraception is, though some are more effective than others. Over the course of a year of using female condoms, about 1 in 5 couples will have an unintended pregnancy. Male condoms are somewhat more effective — but again, that’s only if they are used properly.

And just in case you were wondering, using a male and a female condom at the same time is not more effective. It actually can compromise the effectiveness of both the male and female condom because they can get stuck together and cause one or the other to slip during intercourse.

 Hutan : Macam - Macam Hutan
Hutan adalah sebuah kawasan yang ditumbuhi dengan lebat oleh pepohonan dan tumbuhan lainnya, yang menempati daerah yang cukup luas.

Ada berbagai macam hutan antara lain:
* Berdasarkan jenis pohonnya
1. Hutan Heterogen adalah hutan yang terdiri atas berbagai jenis tumbuhan seperti hutan hujan tropis yang terdapat di Pulau Sumatera, Kalimantan. Sulawesi dan Papua.
2. Hutan homogen adalah hutan yang terdiri atas satu jenis pohon seperti hutan jati, hutan bambu, hutan karet, dan hutan pinus.

* Berdasarkan tujuan pemanfaatannya
1. Hutan produksi adalah hutan yang diusahakan melalui sistem Hak Pengusahaan Hutan (HPH) baik BUMN maupun pengusaha swasta, yang memanfaatkan hasil hutan seperti kayu untuk kegiatan produksi.
2. Hutan lindung adalah kawasan hutan yang mempunyai fungsi pokok sebagai perlindungan sistem penyanggah kehidupan untuk mengatur tata air, mencegah banjir, mengendalikan erosi, mencegah intrusi air laut, dan memelihara kesuburan tanah.

3. Hutan wisata adalah hutan yang berfungsi untuk objek wisata sebagai tempat rekreasi atau hiburan para wisatawan karena keindahan alamnya. Kebun Raya Bogor merupakan salah satu hutan wisata yang banyak dikunjungi wisatawan.
4. Hutan suaka alam adalah hutan yang memiliki keadaan alam khas, diperuntukkan bagi perlindungan dan pelestarian flora dan fauna yang hampir punah, agar dapat berkembang biak sesuai dengan kondisi ekosistemnya. Hutan suaka alam Ujung Kulon merupakan tempat perlindungan badak bercula satu dan beberapa fauna lainnya.

* Berdasarkan iklim yang mempengaruhinya
1. Hutan hujan tropis
Hutan hujan tropis tumbuh di sekitar garis khatulistiwa atau equator yang memiliki suhu udara dan curah hujan yang tinggi sepanjang tahun. Hutan hujan tropis dikenal sebagai hutan heterogen karena terdiri dari berbagai jenis tumbuhan. Di Indonesia hutan hujan tropis terdapat di Pulau Sumatera, kalimantan dan Irian Jaya (Papua).

2. Hutan musim
Hutan musim terdapat di daerah di wilayah yang mengalami perubahan musim hujan dan musim kemarau secara jelas. Tumbuhan pada hutan musim umumnya bersifat homogen (satu jenis tumbuhan), seperti hutan jati, hutan karet dan hutan bambu. Di Indonesia hutan musim banyak terdapat di wilayah Jawa Tengah dan Jawa Timur.
3. Sabana dan Steppa
Sabana merupakan padang rumput yang diselingi oleh pepohonan atau semak belukar, sedangkan steppa merupakan padang rumput yang sangat luas. Sabana dan Steppa banyak dijumpai di daerah bercurah hujan rendah atau relatif sedikit. Di Indonesia, sabana dan steppa terdapat di Nusa Tenggara Barat dan Timur.

* Berdasarkan letak geografisnya
1. Hutan Tropika
Secara astronomi hutan tropikaterbentang pada wilayah 23,5oLU - 23,5oLS. Ciri-ciri utama kawasan ini adalah curah hujan yang cukup tinggi dan matahari bersinar sepanjang tahun. Curah hujan yang tinggi menyebabkan hutan tropika sangat lebat. Hutan ini berfungsi sebagai paru-paru dunia karena kemampuannya dalam menyerap karbondioksida serta menjaga keseimbangan suhu dan iklim dunia.
2. Hutan Temperate (Hutan gugur)

 
Hutan temperate atau hutan gugur terdapat di daerah beriklim sedang yang memiliki empat musim, secara astronomis di antara 23,5^o - 66,5^o lintang utara maupun lintang selatan. Hutan ini berisi tumbuhan yang daunnya gugur (meranggas) pada musim dingin. Keadaan ini akan berlangsung hingga menjelang musim semi. Pada musim semi, temperatur akan meningkat, salju mulai mencair, tumbuhan mulai berdaun kembali (bersemi).

Daerah persebaran hutan gugur terutama meliputi wilayah sub-tropis sampai sedang seperti Amerika Serikat, Eropa Barat, Asia Tengah dan Timur serta Chili.
3. Hutan Boreal (Hutan Taiga)

 
Hutan boreal atau hutan taigaberkembang di daerah lintang tinggi dekat dengan kawasan lingkar kutub dan merupakan jenis hutan terluas kedua setelah hutan tropika. Hutan ini ditumbuhi oleh jenis pohon berdaun jarum, dimana di kawasan ini memiliki musim panas yang pendek dan musim dingin yang panjang.
Daerah yang termasuk kawasan ini meliputi Alaska - Amerika Utara, Skandinavia - Eropa Utara, dan Siberia-Rusia.

* Berdasarkan ketinggian tempat
1. Hutan Pantai (beach forest)

 
Hutan yang tumbuh di daerah pantai adalah hutan bakau (mangrove). Hutan bakau memilik akar napas dan daun yang berlapis tebal di pemukaannya untuk mengurangi penguapan. Hutan bakau banyak dijumpai di pantai yang ombak lautnya tenang, seperti di pantai Sumatera bagian Timur, pantai Kalimantan Barat, pantai Kalimantan Selatan dan pantai Irian Jaya.
2. Hutan Gambut

 
Hutan gambut merupakan suatu ekosistem lahan basah yang dibentuk oleh adanya penimbunan atau akumulasi bahan organik di lantai hutan yang berasal dari reruntuhan vegetasi di atasnya dalam kurun waktu lama. Di Indonesia, lahan gambut terdapat di daerah pantai rendah Kalimantan, Sumatera dan Papua Barat. Sebagian besar berada pada daerah rendah dan tempat yang masih terpengaruh dengan kondisinya, berada di daratan sampai jarak 100 m sepanjang aliran sungai dan daerah tergenang.
3. Hutan Dataran Rendah (lowland forest)

 
Hutan dataran rendah merupakan hutan yang tumbuh di daerah dataran rendah dengan ketinggian 0 - 1200 m. Hutan hujan tropis yang ada wilayah Dangkalan Sunda seperti di Pulau Sumatera, dan Pulau Kalimantan termasuk hutan dataran rendah. Hutan dataran rendah Sumatera memiliki keanekaragaman hayati yang terkaya di dunia.
4. Hutan Pegunungan Rendah (sub-mountaine forest)
Hutan ini terdapat di daerah Indonesia dengan ketinggian antara 1.300 m sampai 2.500 m di atas permukaan laut. Hutan pegunungan memberikan manfaat bagi masyarakat yang hidup di gunung maupun yang tinggal di bawahnya. 

5. Hutan Pegunungan Atas (mountaine forest)
Hutan ini terdapat di daerah daerah Indonesia dengan ketinggian di atas 3.500 m di atas permukaan laut. Hutan ini berfungsi sebagai cagar alam dan taman wisata alam.
